More advanced dropdown technique

Post by SailorPtah »

I have a storyline dropdown box on my site and it links properly to all the storylines and it's working quite nicely.

Trouble is, I have seventeen storylines, so the dropdown's getting a bit long.

What I'd like to do is group the storylines by year, so that if you're in a 2004 strip you only see the 2004 storylines, along with an item that says something along the lines of "2003 Storylines" - which would take you to the first 2003 strip, on which the dropdown would show the 2003 storylines plus an item saying, oh, I don't know, maybe "2004 Storylines."

So how do I pull this off?

This question has already been answered here:

Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.
