So,... what gives here? Am I required to use autokeen now, or what?

I'm using Smart FTP, and I'm getting a "permission denied" message whenever I try to upload something into the public_html directory, such as making a quick fix to a webpage when autokeen is backed up, or for testing my pages while I'm doing html work (I'm currently redoing my cast pages, and it's a messy job!)


Anybody have any insight on this subject?

for some reason, the permissions on public_html are set on 'cannot overwrite'. You can, however, delete and re-upload want you want.
