how do i turn off my firewall/privacy sofware?

I have IE 6.0 so i know that isn't whats causing my log in problems, but it also says to turn off my firewall/privacy software. Can anyone tell me how to do that and if i have anything else to do in order for me to log in correctly. thank you

when i try to log in the log in page keeps coming up and it says "please upgrade to a standards compliant browser or turn off software firewall/privacy software." I don't no what settings i should put and i've tryed alot under security and privacy under the internet options which is under tools. i hope that makes sense. What settings should i put. i hope that makes my question clearer

sorry, This quetion was different from the other one I wrote. I actually figured out how to sign in but when i wanted to update my pages it always went to a page that told me to go back to login. I'm sorry but I don't know when keenspace will delete my webpage and I want to do everythign quick. sorry for posting a lot but i'm just trying to do things quick before my page is deleted.

Instead of starting a new post, I hope that someone can help me out since I'm having a problem with my Firewall. I just installed Norton Personal Firewall 2004 over the weekend. I went through the FAQ and checked out the link about disabling the firewall, but my version doesn't have some of the buttons mentioned., which makes it impossible for me to follow the instructions ^^;; My XP Firewall is off, just in case that adds fuel to the fire ^^;; Help is greatly apperciated ^_^
