Flash file help

Post by SailorPtah »

So I have this .swf file that's going to be the comic in a couple of Sundays, and I've embedded it on http://hellsing.keenspace.com/other/test.html and it isn't showing up. When I try to load the file directly (http://hellsing.keenspace.com/other/12_ ... s_anim.swf), I get a 403 error.

It's a tiny file, as flash files go. 197 KB. I have comics in JPG format that are bigger than that.

Help?

~Erin

I remember the FAQs and guide saying something about flash files being displayed into a fixed little tiny space, so you might just wanna give up on that idea.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

Hmm...
Try putting the file in /images...

And Jex is talking nonsense- if you put an yyyymmdd.swf file, autokeen will display it as some default size, that may be "tiny space"
But if you make the embed code yourself, and put it in yyyymmdd.txt file you can control the size background colors and everything else.
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

Talking nonsense? I resemble that remark!
