So today was my first attempt at uploading a .swf file as a comic, and it didn't exactly go as planned.
The movie itself looks nice, but for some reason there's a big white box underneath it!
I've checked the file at least a dozen times, and there's definitely no white box in the movie itself. For some reason, during the upload, the site automatically decides to scale the movie to those exact proportions and ends up with a white box underneath.
The file itself has smaller proportions -- about 225 by 165. But it's resized and given a white box when updated! Why? Halp!
.SWF trouble

According to some guide I read somewhere, Keenspace scales the movie to that size, as you said. Why? Well, SWF's don't have their size defined internally, it has to be defined in the HTML code. I think. It would be nice if there was some way to override the size.
What I am going to do for my Flash animations is upload a 1x1 transparent GIF as the image of the day "20010202.gif", as well as the SWF "mySWF122.swf" and a TXT file "20010202.txt" with the Flash HTML code. This has to be done for every flash animation. I wonder if I would even need to upload the GIF...

Nope. The TXT alone is just fine.Melody wrote:I wonder if I would even need to upload the GIF...
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."
"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.
