Alright, see the many different things of Keenspace are confusing. I am trying to design my site, and well the tags and ftp folders and indexpages and such are really really confusing to me. Does anybody know an easy way to design in Keenspace or at least explain it to me in a simple way...thanx

leave the default templates and name your comics in YYYYMMDD.ext format
So 20020416.jpg for a comic to be placed today.
The comic goes in workspace/comics
And when your site is scheduled to update, it will copy it over automatically to index_template/comics and a page is generated in public_html/d from dailytemplate.html
An index.html page is created in /public_html form /workspace/indextemplate.html
If you want to change anything change ONLY indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html , do NOT delete them, download them using ftp(or
http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/cgi-bin/web-ftp.cgi ), edit them in a text editor (NOT MS-WORD, WORDPAD or PUBLISHER) and then upload them to /workspace again.
You can then wait for the changes to take effect (next time the site updates) or you may login at
http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/cgi-bin/memberlogin and manually tell autokeen to update.

Thanx that was a extremely umm...useful explanation. My only question is ... if I want to add a rant at the end of my comic...would I then change the daily template? Cuz I dont know the difference between daily and index templates.

It would be be better to create an iframe.
If you create an iframe, you came make it point to something like a blogger or livejournal.
If you want to just include the text on the front page, put it in indextemplate. If you want to include text for that day, you have to make a file like 20020416z.txt for keenspace to incude. If you want something that appears everyday in the archives, you modify dailytemplate.

/workspace/comics/ - it'll appear as part of the page (so you can use HTML in it) of the comic with the same date.
