Okay, #1, Junk MS Word.
#2, re-upload with FTP and make sure it has execute permission (chmod 755 if you are unsure)
Tell me if this solves the problem. You should make sure that you always OVERWRITE, not delete files, this will ensure that the permissions stay put.
Without execute permission, autokeen isn't allowed to read it.

Could you say that in plainer english.
I um didn't use ms word I used wordpad to edit.
What the heck is chmod 755 and how do I check and see if it had execute permission.

What FTP program do you use, and how do you save your HTML files?
If you tell us some of your comic names, it may help to pin-point the problem.

Okay one more suggestion:
rename the file so it is dailytemplate.html and indextemplate.html
You currently have .htm

Idle note:
Wordpad *IS* MS Word version 6.
Notepad is the one you want to use for html.

Ultraedit is also really nice for editing HTML. you can get it to highlight colors so you can tell if you forgot to add a quote mark somewhere
