My "todays date" is always stuck on December...its been like that since I've got it and I think that's the reason why I can't automate the day's comic? anyone?

Other way around, the 'December 0' date is caused by the fact that the Autokeen hasn't picked up your comics.

Can you please tell us your username
so we can look at the site?

Where are you uploading them, and what are you uploading them with?
What are some of the comic names?
<B>Don't Panic.</B> - Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Isaiah 43.

I've been trying to do it with WS_ftp but it won't connect (I don't know what to put in as the host..I try the ftp address but it fails) so I use the IE ftp function....

I'm uploading them to the comics section in the workspace....
By comic name do you mean the file name?
Thats. 20020221.jpg

Thanks for looking I'm very new and only have one comic up at the moment

You may suffer from the same problem as I do.

When I signed up for Keenspace I made some sort of mistake when I was choosing my update time. Basicly, I'm 24 hours or so behind real time. If it's Wednesday, my newest comic is gonna count as Tuesday. It's all quite confusing, and until the user database is back up, there's nothing I can do (unless I pester a Wranlger, but eh).

Try naming the comic 20020220.jpg, and see if it'll go that way. If not that, then try to do a full update; sometimes that kicks things into gear.

Well its updated but the comic for the page doesn't show up...
its got the today's comic tag in
and the image has the correct name on it to match the date at the top of the page..but it just doesn't want to load...

Isn't there some way of manually updating so it'll just show the image you want it to show? and yet not mess up the archive system?

Please see my reply to your message.

I belive the real reason it's not updating is because you do not have execute permissions set (do chmod 755, or check the execute permission in your FTP client)

a secondary reason could be it choking on the MS Word garbage. Please don't use MS Word to generate web pages, it's bound to create more problems than it solves.
