I tried to delete a post with the edit/delete button, but couldn't erase it complete.
There was no check-box like on the old message boards, and I tried if it would work when I delete simply all the content of the post, but that didn't work either.
So, how do I do it?

The default phpBB configuration allows you to completely delete a post within 30 minutes of posting it. After that only moderators can delete. Brief testing indicates that this applies here.

While this is good for catching the immediate "I shouldn't have said that"'s, it doesn't help if you tend to make a fool of yourself across several timezones

Looks like totally deleting the contents of a message is the best bet for those cases.

phpBB v2 (mentioned elsewhere as a possible future move) seems to allow setting a ownere may delete posts anytime system.
