[Solved] My Webcomic

Postby johnlapoint on Thu May 29, 2014 12:21 pm

Hi. My dad and I have been working on a web comic and are thinking of posting it on comic genesis. Do you charge for hosting webcomics? Could I put a paypal button or ads on my comic to make money? Do you have a feature to include a blog with the comic? I see comics are listed by category. What is the difference between furry, part furry, animal and talking animal? Thanks.

Hosting on ComicGenesis is free.

Definitely!

Do you have a feature to include a blog with the comic?

Not quite, though there is away to upload a text file along with each comic's image file that can kind of serve this purpose.

That varies depending on who you ask. At least for "talking animal" comic I think along the lines of Bugs Bunny. In a furry comic, it is necessary to the story that the characters are animals. In a talking animal comic, you could replace the animal characters all with people and nothing would really change. At least that's how I take the terms to be used.

I see some of your comics have multiple categories. Can you list as more than one category? Do you have age range categories for the comics?

I don't think there's a problem listing multiple categories or anything like that. There is an age range category. Overall though I wouldn't worry about it, I'd just focus on starting to get the comic up and running for now.

If I post on your website, can I put my webcomic on other sites as well?

Yes. Comic Genesis retains no rights to your work.
