The index template is the page that everyone sees so that is the obvious one to edit. What is the dailytemplate for?
Alex
come to http://oddity.keenspace.com

you always edit indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html.
Editing public_html/index.html was only while the autoupdater was down.
to test your dailytemplate.html, you have to upload comics for two days and wait until the second one is on the index.html, then the first one will be in the archives and using dailytemplate.html
A small and obvious hint: keep the dailytemplate.html leaner than the indextemplate.html, so that browsing through the archives doesn't eat too much bandwidth for new readers.
------------------
