Technically, it's not a matter of "not being allowed in" as it is more a case of "the automatic software that is supposed to let you in isn't working properly". Nobody is actively keeping new authors out.

I'm assuming that next time that STrRedWolf comes through, he'll add in a bunch of people who have been waiting and play with the code a bit to get it working again. Maybe give the server a thump on the side.

People's patience is appreciated.

If your comic does not show up on this page then that means you have not been added to the CG database.

What should happen:

1. You fill in the registration form.
2. You get the confirmation email.
3. You reply to the confirmation email.
4. Seven days pass (plus maybe another day or two sometimes).
5. You get the welcome email giving you your comic's details and some instructions, after which you should be good to go.

That is what is supposed to happen. Sounds like you might have gone awry at step 3 - did you get and reply to the confirmation email?

At the moment most people are stuck at step 5, because the server isn't automatically sending out the welcome emails like it is supposed to. Wait a few hours then check the list again. If it does not show up, go back over the steps you did. Cross-check with the Step-by-Step guide in the CGWiki Tutorials section.

So we've applied, and we're on the "waiting" list. Do you have an estimate of how long it should take for our comics to be accepted in general, besides the
7-10 day" thing? Its been much longer than that for me :/

I'm sure the powers that be are doing what they can to solve the problem. In the meantime, just hang on to your patience hat, since it looks like it might take a while- that list grows by the handful every day. We (you, me, them, everybody included on the list) can always just work on our comics and build up a little bit of a backlog for when the day finally arrives.

ps- I am not a moderator or person in a seat of authority on this matter, nor do I play one on TV. But I am willing to share some excess patience with you if you would like (my own wait time has almost been a month now, but there's people who've been waiting much longer than that )

Lamentably, it looks like STrRedWolf is on a bit of a break at the moment.

Not sure if he is sick, on holidays or other - but I have not seen him post in a while. As far as I am aware, he (or Kisai) are the only ones who can manually add users (or give the server a kick in the bootsector to get the auto-registration software working again). One of them should come along and set things right. I've dropped them both messages but they pop in here quite regularly, so it should be sorted soon. Soonish. Hopefully.
