When I try to log in...it tells me that " This page requires authentication, please goto the Login page."

Could you post a little more detail? Like what you're trying to log into, and the URL?

and after that, its says "This page requires authentication, please goto the Login page." Am I logging in at the wrong place?

Hi! I have just about the same problem (I fiured it would be better if I posted about it here instead of a new post)
anyway, I'm new at comic genesis and just got my activation email about 3 days ago. Before I had no chance to log in until I accidently put in for the password change. I then got a confirmation code (which I didn't recieve in the first e-mail) and after it let me lo in! Or so I thought....
It said something about the loging in process and then said:
"This page requires authentication, please goto the Login page"
I tried doing it again (by clicking the link) but the same thing happens.
I run the internet through Internet Explorer and have windows XP
my (future) site is http://revwings.comicgenesis.com

I am having the same problem. I have tried to sign in for over 2 weeks, and still can't get on. I have had tons of suggestions about clearing my cookies and opening port 8080 on my firewall, but I don't believe it is my computer, I think it is a DB problem. No one seems to know...

I'm able to log in without problems, so I would assume it might be your DB.

However, are any of you able to log in to FTP?

yeah, I tried the FTP thingy....it didn't work....
it just says "login failure" :(

same here, webftp doesn't work, my ftp program wont log me in, it says authentication failed

I'm having the same problem, myself. Actually, I'm getting a "502: Bad gateway" error message when I try to get to siteadmin (http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080/ ... /login.cgi). When I try to use the Web-FTP, I get a "Login failed" message, and when I try to use a regular FTP program (FileZilla), I get the message, "530 Authentication failed, sorry".

Argh. I actually had an update ready for Friday.

Same problem here. I was able to log in five minutes ago, but for some reason I got the error "530: Authentication failed, sorry" when I tried again via FTP. five minutes later. I waited five more minutes and the problem seemed to solve itself.

"Username not found! Contact a wrangler on the forums."

I had this problem as well. All I had to do to fix it was go to (this is for IE) Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Edit, then type in http://www.comicgenesis.com and hit Allow.

After that, close IE, then open it up again, and it should work. Maybe clear your temporary internet files if that doesn't solve it.

I and my comic partner seem to be having the same problem as well. We've never managed to get in since we got the signup okay. our site is http://tdw.comicgenesis.com -it shows an error message if you try to view it that way. We're using Firefox and IE respectively. Any suggestions would be awesome thank you :)
