Er, quick question... I just signed up a short while ago (after the switch to Comic Genesis), and I can log in to Site Admin just fine, but my URL doesn't work. It's supposed to be http://wizardmon5.comicgenesis.com but it gives me an error every time I try. I waited a couple days to see if it took a day or two, but it's been about two or three days now.
Also, a really quick, rookie question... How can I change my password from the random numbers and letters they gave me? I'm sure it's possible to customize that, but I can't find it for the life of me.

I firmly believe she does not take enough credit for her work, her stuff is absolutely amazing. She seems to suffer from a bad case of an inferiority complex when it comes to her art.Marverick wrote:Ahh, i had a co-author in my last webcomic project. mine never turned in her parts in time, always bitched about my work and had a different idea in mind for where the comic was going.
so this time, i'll try my hand at solo work.....or maybe if i get the help of someone, i'll make sure they know what they are doing ^_^
anyway, i'm still waiting on that e-mail but i'm far from worried.

And even if our account is disabled after 14 days, we'll be the first to know and we can reregister it

Hello,
This is another newbie with potential sign-up issues. I entered the confirmation number into the verify creation form on Tuesday and actually got a password in email later that night (in the "[beast] Your Keenspace Account is Ready" email). However, within the same minute I also got an email stating "[beast] Account Creation Failure: Please Re-Submit".
It went on to explain that it failed because the name was already in use. Since I had already received the account ready email, I thought there was a glitch in which I may have signed up twice since I got two "ComicGenesis Account Creation Verification" emails the week before.
Therefore, I just decided to wait and see if I could connect in a few days as the email suggested. However, it has been about 5 days now and I still cannot connect via FTP or siteadmin. Could it be that someone else really did get my username; or should I just wait another couple of days; or should I request a new password?
Thank you for your assistance and advice.
Andy

Please disregard my last post. I created a new password through siteadmin and now I am able to FTP to my site.
Thanks,
Andy
Thanks,

Newbie? Who, me?
I've been lurking in this forum, trying not to declare full-out newbie-ness, but I'm feeling a little bit lost now. (I am, however, aware that signups are in a bit of a turmoil right now!)
My situation is thus: I signed up for my account circa July 30th (about the same time that STrRedWolf posted the most recent news on the ComicGen homepage). I did receive the confirmation email and I have indeed confirmed my registration on August 3rd (or thereabout).
Now, my site does appear as "activated" on the check status page (check signup). The field that you verify your username returns a "not found" message (check Comic status). I tried again to register the account under the same name (as it's been 14 days...) but it didn't let me, due to the account already existing (fortunately).
So, does this mean that the email containing my password is still coming? I ask, because I've noticed that there have been a few people that have recently received the password email.
Thanks!
Edit: My signup name is "coldfeet" by the way...

Oh bother.
Well, I'm thrilled to try and get my comic up and running, but I'm still having problems signing up.
For some reason, no matter WHAT file type it is, the app rejects my image (which is only about 71k or so). I've tried it as a JPEG, GIF, BMP, and even a PSD, and none of them go through the application. Is there a particular format I should upload comic samples in that I haven't read yet, or what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any suggestions offered!

Signup Samples
This may be an answer to my previous question: Is the list shown at
<a href="http://www.comicgenesis.com/signup_samp ... IST">Comic Genesis Signup Samples</a>
indicative of the people waiting for a password to be sent to them?

I signed up for an account, put in the activation code and the system said my password was on it's way. Then, this morning, after waiting 15 days, I got a message that said my account had been deleted because I hadn't activated it. I signed up again for it but I thought I should let someone know that there is a bug of some sort there.
The account I signed up for was called Tainted.

Do *not* send .bmp or .psd.
Apart from that, try making sure that your file extension is lower-case (.jpg instead of .JPG) and only three letters long. ComicGenesis is sometimes very picky about details like that.
Apart from that, you could try to upload the image to Photobucket and link to it here. Maybe someone will spot a problem in the file name or format.

Image names are in date format YYYYMMDD but maybe you've missed something else... http://gear.keenspace.com/cadet/
I was wondering if anyone can answer this for me. I have a comic that I've had on Keenspace since about January (http://legends.comicgenesis.com). I can log in fine using the legends username.
I also started a second comic (http://threewitches.comicgenesis.com). The signup went thru fine (August 14th), and even the webpage seems to be displaying my info, but I cannot log into my siteadmin. I've tried closing the browser, clearing my cookies, etc, but nothing works. I even tried the password reset thing. The login page just keeps saying, "Logging you in!" etc, then, it takes me to a page that says: "This page requires authentication, please goto the Login page" over and over. I set up my ftp program, and authentication fails. Am I missing something?
