Cant get a confirmation email

Post by Plasmius »

Im sure this problem has been raised before, but im not going to search through the forums on that hunch over a dialup connection. that having been said:

I've tried regestering twice with CG, but neither time have i been sent a confirmation email. After the first one, i got an email (14 days after regestering) saying my account was deleted, and frankly i didn't much care since i didn't get a confirmation email in the first place. I re-registered again about ten, fifteen minutes before making this post, and i DID disable the spam-guard on my email, but still haven't got a confirmation. what should i do?

i'm in the same boat as you.

registered 14 days ago, got a cancellation e-mail 14 days later, re-registered and disabled the spam filter in my e-mail account.

i'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Things seem to be acting very strangely lately.

I signed up, and I got a confirmation e-mail, but the link I need to visit (in the e-mail) doesn't work. However, someone else said that theirs worked fine.

I'd say wait until Keenspace gets everything straightened out, and finishes turning into Comic Genesis.

Well I have a similar problem so I am posting it here instead of in a new thread. Sorry about this, if you want I'll start a new thread on it. I have got the confirmation e-mail but everytime I goto the link it sent me it says page cannot be found. What can I do, can anyone help? The username is yourfanservice.

P.s. I have tried the link on multiple machines and connections and it doesn't work on any of them.

As far as I know, signups are broken at the moment and anything connected to that is not likely to work. :/ I don't know anything about when it might be coming back.

Okay, I got the email on my second try, but now when i go to the confirmation page i get a "You are not authorized to view this page"

Anyone mind explaining why the people sending me an email telling me to confirm my comic would send me a link that im not authorized to go to? Wiggy as hell.

EDIT: any idea when the signups will be not-broken?

I dont know a whole helluvalot about how this is supposed to work, but it seems to me when i click on the link that takes me to the origional directory, there isn't a third directory leading to where we're supposed to go. That being the case, it seems also that someone is trigger-happy and created a link without creating a page to link to. Or maybe the page requires credentials that we're not supposed to have yet. Either way someone screwed up

Unfortunately, this means you're out of luck for now. Sorry. :(
I guess we will have to wait until they get the page back up again. it should be soon i hope. if not, its okay, this service is free, we can wait :)
