SITEADMIN MOVED!

Post by STrRedWolf »

Since CGI scripts save for PHP are breaking, I have moved them to a different port. The new URL is at:

http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080

I guess I'm going to have to use IE for a while. *groan*

Hmm. I tried logging in using it and it sent me to a completely white page with no text or anything in it at all. Is that just a problem with Firefox? (Well, actually I tried repeating it with IE and it didn't work for that either. Went to a white page again. Which is probably endemic with the rest of the problems I've been having. *wry laugh* Oh well...)

I'm getting the same problem in IE.*

*I still can't access the page at all in FF. (I tried using CG's IP address in place of "siteadmin.comicgenesis.com"... which worked until CG forced the domain.)

I got the blank page too, but hitting 'refresh' seemd to cure it. My new page and domain is up now.

Refresh doesn't cure it for me. I've been trying to update my comic for two days now.

Okay: Once you've logged in, hit your back button (to return to the login screen) and then refresh from there.

That should work (it did for me at least).

Technical question:

How does changing the port keep it from making teh zombies?

Can folks who are still having problems, please hold down SHIFT, hit "Reload", and see if that cures it? If not, I posted a new topic about this.

Also, let me know if clicking on the address bar and hitting *RETURN* also works around this problem.

clicking "go" when it stalled on a white page during login worked. I imagine that's the same as clicking the address bar and pressing return.

Nothing I click or do changes that big blank nothing... :-?
Not "RETURN" on the adress bar, nor refreshing in any way or form.

I need my adminsite, man. I'm beginning to feel the symptoms of withdrawal.

No wait! After five tries, the "hit the back-button and refresh from there"-suggestion worked.

Is it a matter of luck or something?

(Oooh that's better. Adminsite, why are you so good to me?)

Thank you so much! I tend to miss my updates, but I so desperately need to know if I made the auto update time (when it's "slow", Monday always takes longer for me) or if I have to submit it manually.

Okay, I know that problem. I'll have to meta-refresh a redirect. It's an Apache-ism that doesn't work quite well on other webservers like Boa.
