What's truly annoying is that the Tagboard is also down. So I can't even alert people to the fact that the update is loaded in my Livejournal until this problem is fixed. (Well, I could put it on my forum, but no one reads that so...)

Do you come to chat? He bashes her A LOT. That's why we're getting so uppity. Considering how hard to both of them work, we figure they should give each other mutual respect. We're friends with the both of them, and fact is, when I see a friend mouthing another friend off, I tell the loudmouth to shut it. There's no need for shooting off among comrades.

But I found three files in my webpages folder titled 403.html, 404.html, and 500.html. What are they? Can I delete them?

Ok, that's a lie.
Those are just webpages that display if you get that specific error code while trying to display a page on your website. Don't delete 'em.

I'm baaack... which is not a good thing.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. Tell me if it isn't.
SO, I finally got my sign up problems solved. And for a time it seemed all would have a happily ever after ending. But no, I had to go after convinience. I though "It's too bothersome to remember the password they gave, let's make a new one." So I went to the generate a new password and typed in my login and new password (But not the activatioin code, was I supposed to?). And now neither my custom password nor my given one works, and the e-mail to get a new password isn't coming. Any answers?

Heh, that's kinda what happened to me. Neither my custom pass nor the password that KS gave me works. :/ Maybe someone could delete my comic and I could reapply? :|Dark Eclipse702 wrote:Anyway, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. Tell me if it isn't.

Nope, I signed up for a lowercase one. I thought that it'd look better as somethingsomething.keenspace.com than SomethingSomething.keenspace.com.STrRedWolf wrote:Dark Eclipse702, Kizul? Did you sign up with a capitalized username? All usernames are lowercase.
Note: my comic's name isn't SomethingSomething, I was just using that as an example.

Yeah, my username's plain old lowercase "darkeclipse" and my e-mail is 4Elementsword@gmail.com.
Another random problem that you don't have to answer: I couldn't get to the comicgenesis homepage or any other comics for that matter. This happen to anyone else?

404 error
Yo. I checked the comicgenesis.com page. There isn't anything written on it re "details" of down for maintenance. Right now I get 404 error and nothing else for the login addy. I had no problem with FTP.
Why oh why is there not some system to email us when there are going to be downtimes, changes of sitenames etc? Blithely uploading comics daily and only find out about these things when there is suddenly a glitch. Why do we each have to come here and surf a bunch of different threads to find out what is up, instead of there being an automatic list of members who all get one single explanation of the namechange, possibilities for domain forwarding etc?
Also, I have "notify me when a reply is posted" ... it seems to work once or twice, cuz I've gotten emails telling me a reply is up, but when I came back to post about this 404 thing there were a bunch of replies to a post I put that I got no notice of. Does it only work for the first two replies to a thread?

It's right there on the front page in the news section.lilianewithanose wrote:Yo. I checked the comicgenesis.com page. There isn't anything written on it re "details" of down for maintenance. Right now I get 404 error and nothing else for the login addy. I had no problem with FTP.

What this means to you:
No siteadmin, about time I revised it anyways.
No signups
No lost password recovery.
FTP, Philex still work, and the automatic update still work, but there is no access to the siteadmin controls.
