[ANNC] Hosting cost analysis & logs shut down

Post by STrRedWolf »

At the request of seinor management, I have disabled the fictional pricing analysis of hosting everyone's comic account. The cost analysis (using "KeenBucks" as is called by folks here) was grossly inaccurate and Keenspace was not at liberty to release such information to comic holders. Additionally, the Keenspace admin team does not have access to the Keenspot financial records and had no means to accurately assess the value of a comic and its revenue potential. Even though the page outright warned folks that the information was fictional, some still took it for real, and that may lead people to the wrong impression about their comic and Keenspot Entertainment as a whole.

And no, logs aren't shut down. I have verified that on the servers. I apologize for the confusion.

Wait does that mean "we're doing some changes, it'll be back soon" or "this is indefinitely disabled until something randomly happens to it"?

So that would be why my password isn't working, then? Sorry for the no duh question but I've had computer trouble all day and I feel pretty much fried at this point. REALLY want to make sure it's not just me.

The logs are down until we get word from Nate, or I get too tired of waiting and torture him. :) We'll try to get it up ASAP, we just need some guidance in this matter.

I already screwed up my webalizer stats by checking my comic on ten different computers at the university.

What I really miss of the webaliser stats is the list of referrals. I love checking the sites that linked the comic.

How can I procrastinate with the stats down?

Post by Lilianewithanose »

Sigh, you KNOW i'm going through withdrawal when I actually check in my comics email file to find info on how to get to the forum for help... yes here i am for the first time since like April 04. I WANT MY STATS BACK!!! WAAAAAAA!!! I check it like twice a day, esp to see if banners I pay for elsewhere are upping hits, to see what google input gets to me, and esp to see the referrals, wherein I check if people have stolen images, written glowing reports in their blog, or have funky cool sites I want to check out myself. It would be really nice if they sent out some sort of "warning" notice so I didn't go crazy trying to figure out if I'd somehow forgotten my password for the first time in months. PLEASE BRING OUR WEBALIZER BACK!!! WE WANT IT!! and yes, it is good news... my page and visits stats have been climbing steadily since I joined. yay. thanks

good news

Post by Lilianewithanose »

Actually that's not true. I get good news from my logs because I see my hits climbing steadily, and the referals when someone links to me getting more hits, also I see people googling my comic name, or site directly or my name, vs stumbling across it looking for vegan shoes in California. Gosh I hope they fix this soon. Preferably in the next 12 hours. I am just now invited to join Moderntales.com and I wanted to be able to give them accurate stats on my readership. Like this coming afternoon. Grrr bad keenspace.grrrr. Is there any other way we can access webalizer for our accounts??
