I copied it and put it in the FTP, but my page hasn't changed yet.

That's cuz you've gotta trigger a manual update from siteadmin or wait for autokeen to hit your page.

Go here, enter your username and password (the ones you use to FTP) and go to manual update your comic. Either do a full page update or just update your index.html.

To resize the picture, you'll have to do that on your computer. If the only paint program you have is MSPaint, you're gonna have a hard time doing a comic.

Ah, that's good. I'm not familiar with the program, but look around in the menus for the option that lets you resize the image. Also, going by the image up on your site now, find the "rotate" option as well so the picture's not sideways.

I found the pen-ultimate tag page:
http://www.w3schools.com/
You get to try it out before you try out the tags and screw up your page.[/u]

Y = Year
M = Month
D = Date

YYYYMMDD.jpg

Today's comic would be 20040608.jpg

Also make sure you check out the tagtorial and guides thread (link in my sig)

Phalanx, I wanted to ask you something from you page on uplifting your keenspace site. You said in the beginning that you need to open a text editor...Is notebook ok? I did what you said and used notebook and saved the tags and all that that you said but I didn't update my page.

I'm not sure if notebook is the same thing as notepad...

If you mean notepad then it's perfect for the job.

yes...that's what I meant...so for the clerical error...to save all the code that I've updated in my notepad file do I save by File>save? Because when I seem to do that nothing happens to the page...

Well, you're first supposed to download the file to your computer with ftp.
Then edit in in notepad.
Then save it.
Then upload it with ftp
Then wait 24 hours, or login to siteadmin and use "manual update" and wait 5 minutes.
Then refresh and see if it worked.

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves,levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

just when you thought you'd had me gone, I'm back*sighs for everyone on the board* My new question is I've just made a title image for the title of my comic instead of the text...how do I put it in the stead of the text title? Do I just post an image html tag where the title used to be on the indextemplate and then upload it when I do a manual update?

Yes. Upload the image to /workspace/images (or /public_html/images, these two directories are in fact one)
And then use it more or less like this: <img src="/images/title.gif" /> in indextemplate and dailytemplate.

Aheh... pardon the questions from a rather dense little man who is not good with codes and stuff...

I made some buttons for today's comic, yesterday's comic, all that, and they appear on all my comics but the first. Did I do something wrong?

All help is muchly appreciated...

EDIT: NM, it done fixed itself.
