What about the storyline dropmenus?

I thought kelly was going to fix that... meh... I'll be honest, I've NEVER, EVER used or touched the dropdowns or the code for them, so I'm not exactly certain what the storyline dropdown cgi did. I think it was a simple redirect, but I'm not sure.

The FAQ and Tagtorial have been split. This is now the Tagtorial and Guides thread. The FAQs are in a seperate thread now

I've also added KittyKatBlack's Roadmap to Keenspace in the Guides.

If any of you feel like writing comphrehensive guides to help out on the areas we've missed, now's your chance.

about Day link pictures... you know naming an image next_day, last_day, etc.

I saw earlier that the workspace/images arn't linked or somthing. I've had issues in getting the tag images to work for navigation. I tried putting them in workspace/images many times and running updates (and checking the names to make sure they were right) and still nothing. then finally I just uploaded the images to public_htim/images.. and I grew misty eyed as my images worked for my ***next_day**, ***last_day***, ***first_day***, and ***previous_day*** tags.

so I guess if anyones having issues with that give that a shot. though most people whom work I've seen doesn't have any issues with those. Which is why it bothered me so.

Erm... workspace/images and public_html/images ARE symlinked. I'm not sure why it didn't work in your case, though.

I think Kisai mentioned there is an auto-symlink-regenerating-script...
That means if you have public_html/images and workspace/images not symlinked, you could delete workspace/images, and wait some time, and the symlink sshould be recreated in workspace...

I deleted all my images in workspace/images and public_html/images when I was trying to get my link images to work and it didn't do anything...

is there somthing i need to do or a time lapse.. or should a full page update recreate that sync script?

Ok..I spent a fair amount of time looking through forums to find what I need but alas I cannot. Sorry to bother you guys -.-

My Problem: I got everything up to the FTP . I had to make my own indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html because it wasn't there. So, naturally I thought I was golden -.-;; Yesterday, I wanted a page to go up today, I labeled it: 20040403.jpg (I checked twice). I put in in workspace/comics and I went to page generation control and selected a full page update. Then I logged off to leave it to it's business. I checked the rss.html extension today to see if it updated yet and it hasn't. I wonder if should have updated yet, and I also have another question, if I go to my comic: http://euthanasia.keenspace.com/ there's nothing there. Is there? I checked the FTP and my comic page is now in the publichtml file.I don't know what to do... I'm sorry people probably already asked these questions or you already answered them and I'm just an idiot -.-;; Sorry.

I kept copies of the originals in case I screwed my page up. Just save them, upload them, and run a full update. I think the manual updates are working again. It will look plain, but it should work, and you can add on the other stuff once its up and running.

I downloaded them and replaced the ones there... I did a manual update. How long does it take?
And is it normal, that if I go to my page it says unauthorized access if I haven't put up a comic page yet?

You currently have it uploaded as indextemplate.HTM

it should be indextemplate.HTML

Change the extension and reupload.

I dont know. I guess I'm just that much of an idiot. I tried to change the extension, it says it .html but it just goes to .htm.

You don't have to answer me, if I'm having this much trouble it'll be a year before I can actually do something right with it. -.-

It says unauthorised access because there is no index page.

Once you have your indextemplate in the right place, trigger or wait 24 hours an update. Autokeen will generate your index page for you and you should be able to see your site.

For the record, the extra big font is not me yelling at you, it's to make it clear that the extension needs changing, since you missed it when I bolded it the first time.

I wat to get to the window where that information is displayed and I can add or alter text layout. My friend (who has LeechFTP) says he right-clicked on the indextemplate.html or the dailytemplate.html files and edited them with notebook. How do I do this on SmartFTP?

Right click and hit "view" I believe.
