Butch doesn't recognize my username.

Butch will not let YDK users on untill I change the db entries for the ydk sites. It will work for boardy users though.

incidently, it let me login using your id, so it does work, no passwords have been changed recently.

Hiya, first of all, to all the Keenspace Computer Wizards, thanks for dealing with all the crap lately, you guys rock.

next... FTP won't accept my password - any chance I'm just doin' something wrong? I'm a YDK-er (I think)... I've gotten FTP to work for me using the old host name, but I put it up last night to show up today and it hasn't... I thought the auto-update had been fixed. Perhaps I just haven't waited long enough, but if it's something else, it'd be cool to know.

It took me awhile to realize that was a quote from my comic.

I was trying to remember "where have I heard that before?"

I suspect what is happening is the FTP connects us to butch, but the DNS might be still pointing us to Boardy because when I try to access stuff I upload I'm getting a 404, despite the fact that I can see it's there in my FTP folder.

I imagine it's been changed, but it will take a few days for the changes to filter through the internet.

True dat. I uploaded a page explaining things as my new index.html, but it hasn't filtered its way through the system yet. Only my forumites really know what's going on, and that's a real problem considering what my usage statistics seem to be saying about forum vs comic readership.

I know for a fact I haven't been getting autoupdate since the crash as I already had the comics for the week and a half I've been having problems. (In fact, I have them uploaded through the halfway point of this month!) Here's hoping for a speedy recovery of Keenspace's full capacity.

Since Keenspace is now a single entity again, does that mean everyone will log into siteadmin.keenspace.com when it comes up? Also, I thought part of the reason for having two servers was to distribute the load a little. I assume that butch is a beefier server that can handle a heavier load than boardy and YDK.

As a new guy, I can ftp fine into Butch, but my site is still drawing from YDK.
