FTP confusion

Anyone that can help me with this...
How do I do the FTP?

I know the basics, but what's the ftp address?
ftp.keenspace.com
ftp.mycomicname.keenspace.com
mycomicname.keenspace.com
something else entirely???
I've read over the files that BoxJam did (Thanks BoxJam!) and the Tagtorial, and even the one that I found at Gear, but I got those three different answers!
Can anyone help? As well... do I need to use my username and password, or is it annonymous?

I'm using WS_FTP... do you know what I'd use then?

I suggest you use a browser to go there,even though any Keenspace Employee will tell you "GET WS_FTP!" I tryed that,it's too confusing and it didn't work. If you wanna go to your site type this in your location bar...

ftp://comicnamehere.keenspace.com

It works fine for me,but I have IE 5.0. It may be harder than that if you use something like Mozilla.If you need FTP tutorials go to your member page.

Don't worry- Many of us cadets are having the same problems. Keenspace admins blame it on bandwidth issues which are getting fixed soon. My site just started working late this evening after not working all morning.

This problem is easy and when I fixed it,I felt sooooo stupid I didn't do it before.

If you included your email address in the signup,go to http://siteadmin.keenspace.com/newpassword.html Be sure your FTP support is on and that your're not sitting behind a firewall.

Also,make sure you got an email saying your account is ready.

If the new password doesn't work emial help@keenspace.com for your problems.

i use the url of the passoword thing..didn't work
i went to the ftp://blah blah blah...didn't work
i went to see if i have a friewall...the page didn't shown up..grrrr..

1) If you're using Internet Explorer as an FTP client, try SmartFTP. It has an interface similar to Internet Explorer, you can just drag and drop files around and never bother with the more advanced stuff. Just put in your comic address, comic/user name and password and upload away.

2) Try using keenspace's web ftp. If it works, then you're probaly just doing something wrong with IE or whatever client you're using. If it doesn't, there may be something wrong with the account itself.
