Hello,
My comics output in Macromedia's Flash .swf file format. The pages generated by Keenspace locks the .swf files into a 350x414 px with a background color of white.
http://kungfool.keenspace.com
I would like my .swf's to be 100% of the webpage, if not the original 785x485 px.
How can I over ride the defalt preformating?

I haven't tried using flash in KS, but are you putting the swf files directly in your comics directory or using html files and linking to them?
------------------

I've tried both.
Putting just the .swf's in the workspace/comics directory results in the current page: http://kungfool.keenspace.com/
When I put in the linking html files, an empty blank field same size as the preferred .swf size appears. Just below it the actual comic is displayed in the preformatted way.
The preformatting script over rides any of the particulars of the html file.

Hmm...
Maybe if you contact Nate he can change/remove this preformatting thing for you.
Although you could try some sort of weird workaround, like having the comic page spawn a pop-up window to show the flash files in. You could then put the html for the popups directly in your public_html folder so AutoKeen never gets its greasy mitts on it. Or something. I can't think right now, but good luck!
------------------

Did you figure it out yet? I'm having trouble with mines too. It's too small and doesn't proform well on the website for some computers...

I haven't hopped into this topic because I don't really know how flash is done, but I'd be *very* surprised if Keen turned out to be at fault.
If Nate hasn't returned your e-mail yet, try again. Be as specific as possible (more detail than what you've posted here, by the way).
I know Flash is possible, and not in a pre-formatted size -- I've done it myself (sort of) using a scrap of someone else's html, because, as I said, I'm not too familiar with the way FLASH works.
The basic means for calling a non-image as a comic is this: Put the comic in a folder whose url you know (/images/flash perhaps). Into the comic directory put a scrap of HTML without headers that says something like this:

<do whatever it is that calls the file at "http://yournamehere.keenspace.com/images/flash" at width=700>

------------------

Not yet.
The pop up don't work either.
I mailed nate@keenspace.com
and some others weeks ago.
Considering the flood of mail they must get and their "real" job at keenspot, I doubt I'll get a responce anytime soon.
Since the auto-updates were the only thing that attracted me to Keenspace in the first place, I'm thinking of using their script and move to some other free-host.

I found a bunch here: http://www.100best-free-web-space.com/

The autoKeen script is here: http://www.keenspot.com/downloads/
This stuff involves CGI, but you know it'll come up sooner or later in a web cartoonist's career. I'm currently trying to get a message board up. http://yabb.xnull.com/
Mail me. We'll talk.

Since it's AutoKeen that's screwing with the formatting, it'll probably do the same thing if you use the script even with another host.
