The one showing as "today's" comic is 20091226.jpg, whilst the one that should be today's is 201011.jpg .

EDIT Now it's ONLY showing page 3...with the wrong date, too.
Will put a banner here when I reach 20 pages. More importantly, though, is that I have no idea how to make one. ^^'

That'd be the problem, the filename 201011 is too short. Rename the file 20100101.jpg and then reupload it and delete the 201011. When naming your images always have eight digits because that's how it knows what order to put your files in. That's how the system allows you to backdate comics, too- for instance if you suddenly decided you wanted to have comics dated back to 2008, you would name the file 2008whatever.jpg and it would automatically put those before all of your current comics. Hope that helps.

Would "2010 1 1" work?

No, you need eight numbers. Gotta be 20100101. It's the year, the month, and then the date. If you ever have a month or date with only one digit- like today- put a 0 in front of it.

Yep. If the filename is a date that already happened, it will be put on the site and organized into wherever it belongs chronologically. If the filename is a date in the future then it won't arrive on the site until that date.

Your comic will update automatically at whatever hour you selected when setting up your comic once a day. If it hasn't updated yet that could be because you uploaded the comic after the time that it would have been done automatically. Wait until this time tomorrow and it should be up. Best of luck.

It would be in siteadmin, but you don't need to do that right now. It's at whatever time you set it to when you signed up to join this site. Your site will update again today at that time, after which the new comic should appear on the site.

I seem to have it going right, finally... http://pershing.comicgenesis.com/

EDIT: Well, it seems to be delaying the third page's update like it did the second...why?

The default update time is midnight, so a comic for the tenth will go up at midnight on the tenth, meaning that it is really going up on the eleventh. If you want your comics to update on specific days (such as Mon/Wed/Fri) then you may find it more accurate to name the comics for the day before you want it up.

Don't stress too much, the CG system is quite reasonable and easy once you figure out how to use it and all the little quirks. We document as much as possible in the CGWiki, but almost nobody reads that until after the fact. Stick with it for a few months and you'll get the hang of it.
