SiteAdmin login troubles - take 2 [solved again]

Make sure that you log into the forums with JustNoPoint and not justjojoint or Justnopoint.

Log out of the forum, log in with JustNoPoint and you should be good.

Do you log into the forum as Cchimp or as cchimp?

If you log out and log in as Cchimp then you should be able to get into SiteAdmin.

I can't log into siteadmin at all, and I never have been able to. I joined recently, and have no problem logging into the forums (yes, with Sah not sah), and I can also log into the old siteadmin. The new siteadmin, however, gives me this error:

I've tried turning off all antivirus, firefox addons, and everything else possible, I've tried using different browsers (IE and Opera), and I've tried logging in from other computers. Also, in case it helps, the wiki won't let me in either, but that's not something I need access to right at the moment.

I know I sound angry here, and I'll admit I'm frustrated, but mostly I'm just trying to cover all of the bases. I've logged out of the forums and in again with the correct name, I've done pretty much everything, and it won't work. Help?

I notice that the forum says that this is your first post - but you say you have "never been able to log into SiteAdmin". Did you need to create a new forum account? Did you not have a forum account before?

The CGWiki won't let you in with 1 or 2 posts. You need to have 3 posts or more before you can log into the wiki so the first thing you should do is make another two posts (feel free to spam up the "Can't log into the CGWiki" thread - that's what it's there for). Once you have 3 or more posts, try logging into the CGWiki again and it ought to let you in.

Have a quick browse through your installed programs and see if you have anything like Netnanny or megaBlokker installed. Some anti-adult site blockers will prevent you from being able to use http authentication.

I've never had another forum account - I've never had an account. This is a new CG account, which I didn't become active on until recently. I'll try making a couple more posts though, and see if it fixes anything.

Also, I do have a program installed that blocks content from accessing my computer, but it's got port 80 ignored, as does my firewall. Either way, like I've mentioned, I've tried logging in from different computers, Windows and Linux (my main OS), and no dice. Maybe a few posts on the forums will straighten the database's head out...we can only hope.

Still can't log into either siteadmin or cgwiki. Siteadmin is still giving me the bad browser error, and cgwiki is telling me I have an incorrect password (which I don't). Any thoughts?

Okay, SiteAdmin works of the Forum username and password, so if you didn't have a forum account before, then that would be why it wasn't letting you in before you registered on the forums.

Once you are registered on the forums (irrespective of post count) you *ought* to be able to get into SiteAdmin. You've stated that you log into the forums with Sah and not sah which is correct. So if that is right and it's still not letting you in, then the problem must be on your end.

Since the error report you posted says that SiteAdmin did not recognise your browser, I'd say that your blocker program might be a contributing factor. Try turning it off and logging in.

Other than that, I have no idea what else might be causing you to not be able to log in.

I've been locked out of the siteadmin for a week or two now. My comic's been up for years so it isn't a "new account" problem.

There are no forum accounts that start with a lower case letter any more. If you have the forum account protectmyballs then your name would have been changed to Protectmyballs. You'd need to log out of the forum then log in with Protectmyballs and then you should be able to get into SiteAdmin.

However, since you posted with the forum account LAO, you should be able to log into SiteAdmin with that name and password as well / instead of.

No, I had a forum account before trying to log into siteadmin, and did my research and logged in with a capital letter, and after all of that and numerous forum posts later, still no go. Thus, before I even posted in this thread, I had chalked it up to a "problem on my end".

Following that idea, as I explained in my first post, I decided to figure out what it was. I tried it with Opera instead of Firefox, an older version of Firefox, Firefox with all of my addons off, and Internet Explorer, before deciding that it could just be Linux doing something that the site didn't expect. Thus, I tried switching to Windows, and tried multiple browsers there with no luck, with and without my firewall (which is ignoring port 80 anyway so it shouldn't matter). After having no luck there and being extremely frustrated, I had a friend try and log in for me from their computer, which is completely and totally without any kind of firewall or antivirus that might get in the way (unfortunately for them), and they got the SAME ERROR. This all leads me to believe that it is, in fact, more of a problem on your end.

Who, then, should I get ahold of to try and figure out what might be giving me that error? Anyone that might know what's going on with the login system?

Did you use the capital in SiteAdmin? If you did, then did you log into the forum with the capital? You need to log out of the forum, log back into the forum with Cdance and then log into SiteAdmin with Cdance.

i've made a few changes in the siteadmin...but then one day PFUFF! i can't login anymore, not even in the forums, so i create the forum account, and now i'm begging, please help me! the title in my comic has misspelling!! what will think my readers (in case that anyone is reading my comics) hope you guys save me
