SiteAdmin login troubles - take 2 [solved again]

Should we also inform you if that fix didn't work? We (just the two of us really) who are new but now have a post count over three still cannot log in without SiteAdmin proclaiming our username is invalid, as well as urging us to make sure our password is correctly typed.

I have over 3 posts and I logged in and out, but I still get "Forum Username darkdetective not valid!"

Nope. We get the error "Login error: There is no user by the name "darkflying". Check your spelling, or create a new account."

It's possible that the new people are not getting added to the database.

At least that's what it sounds like to me.

Hang in there, the site admins are aware of and working on the problem. My advice would be to leave it for a few days and work on more comics while this gets sorted out.

Hey, I'm just putting up my hand on the "can't get into SiteAdmin" issue. I've been on Keenspace/the forums since about August last year, but because I haven't used the forum I've had to make multiple accounts (using the same U/N and P/W each time) as I've been booted a few times. This time however it has decided that I'm not allowed into SiteAdmin even though I'm able to get into the forums.

I'm off to attempt the "spam" post option as I had already tried the login/logout/login option before I found this thread, I just figured this could be the first of my three posts . If it doesn't work I guess the next step is waiting a few days .

I can't log on to the wiki... Oh well. I guess my spam post will be in the Out of Topic --> forum games thing. I wanna try a game I saw on the CoH forum...

I can't log in to SiteAdmin or through ftp. However, I can log into the wiki.

Go to the CG WebFTP client and try logging in to that. You'll need to use your ftp name and password (not your forum login). If you're not sure how to use that, read this page. That also applies to whatever ftp software you normally use - use your ftp name and password.

@ everyone else - thus far, there is no 'obvious' solution, but the likely culprit is the move to the new forums since most of the people with trouble appear to be new accounts. I don't have access to the code, but it's being looked at. Keep in mind that the admins here are not full-time employees, so they only have so much time available to work on the site (and there's only two of them).

It'll be fixed soon(ish). Thank you for your patience.

Hey, just addin' my name to the list as well... I, like Paradox, have been part of Keenspace for quite a while now (August of 2005 I believe...? Something like that) but never really threw anything into the boards, so I've had to reregister multiple times with the same name and password... But yeah, just addin' my name to the list, I know the admins are doin' everything they can to fix it and we all appreciate it ^_^

both the wiki and the siteadmin are now using the phpBB3 password. Er well rather the wiki is, the siteadmin uses a different thing altogether, but it's now looking at the phpBB3

I don't know what you did, but it worked. I can login to the siteAdmin now, though it seems a bit...off. It shows everything twice, as in 2 identical comics to work with. It's not really a bother, and maybe that's just how it is. My first time doing this.
Anyway, appreciated very much.
Now i have to go resize all my comic pages because they're gargantuan.

Adding my name to the can't log in list.
I don't update very often, so that might be my issue.
But, I can log into the forums, wiki and the ftp site just fine. I just can log into siteadmin from the comic gen home page.

Yay, I can log on to siteadmin! Still no luck with FTP though.
EDIT: Nevermind, I can log in to FTP now. I forgot I had a custom password... heh...
