Comic updating in advance!

Hey guys, minor problem.

My comic is updating days in advance, but I'm not manually "full updating" how can I prevent this?

I tried to spot the problem by navigating your site but the navigation is completely wonky... Could you post your indextemplate.html and dailytemplate.html code here?

And in any case, running a "full update" would NOT cause a comic to update ahead of time. The problem ought to be somewhere else.

O_o really, I thought my site design was pretty good. Anyway, i can copy paste it here for you if you like, or you can view source whichever is easier. (and its been doing this since day one, I just never thought to ask xD)

Had a quick flick through your comics and didn't see too much out of place.

The only things I'd change is remove the next day / latest day keentags from the index template since they will never point to anything other than the index (which the reader is already looking at). I'd even change the first day keentag to a direct link to save server cpu load, but that's just me.

I think that it's more likely to be a setting on the comic data in SiteAdmin than anything else, specifically - the update offset. In theory, it's possible to have it update up to 36 hours ahead of when you want it to. This would happen if you wanted it to update at noon on Wednesday, but the update offset was set to noon on Tuesday and you lived in Sydney, Australia where it is 12 hours ahead of Los Angeles, meaning the comic would update midnight Monday night local time for Sydney.

I can't think of any other way for the comic to update "days" ahead of when it's meant to - unless you're giving the wrong date to the comics (you want it to update on the 24th of feb but give it the name 20080222.jpg.

The update offset explanation page is old data - it is now about three hours off that listing - check the wiki for more accurate information.

Yes i know xD. I hope i don't come across that silly (you'd have never thought I went to school for web design...but in my defense my concentration was content writing and making pwetty graphics, not scripting :/). Thanks again for all your help, I'm sure this will not be our last help center meeting xD.
