I put a new promo banner, named "flying_banner1.jpg" into my /public_html/images/ directory. Like y'all said.
Putting this link into Firefox's browser as "http://maskedacolyte.comicgenesis.com/i ... anner1.jpg" does not yield an image. Neither will putting a linked img pointing to the same place into my signature result in a banner image.
Actually, you did everything right. Comic Genesis has an anti-hotlinking policy. That means you can't link images from your cg site anywhere EXCEPT your cg site... otherwise, it shows up as a 1x1 pixel of nothingness.
If you want to use your banner for a sig link, the easiest way is to simply sign up for a third party image host, like Photobucket.
This is going in my notebook titled "Things I Didn't Know about Surface Dwellers."
