Full Update Glitch?

Post by Mew Master »

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the Site Admin Full Update buttons.

It goes like this. I accidently posted today's update for Magick up on The Geek Way. So the Geek Way today had the wrong comic for today. After catching the mistake I went through and fixed Geek Way, and then transfered the image back to Magick and hit the Full Update button. Then I waited.

I usually refresh the page so that I can see when the update's over. However, for about an hour it said that there was still having 1 in the Que (Mine). Now I keep checking and I found out that others were in the Que, and I check back a few minutes later and there's still 1 left which was my comic.

Now, when I leave the page and then come back on it says that there's nothing in the que.

So I'm wondering if I'm the only one having problems or if it's wide-spread.

The past two days I've had to manually update my comic. I just use the Regular Update function which does the trick, but I'm curious why I need to at all (since I never changed the settings since before the server move and it always updated automatically before).

I can't even log IN the siteadmin; I got this new 'nuh-uh' today:

Your browser is broken
Browser status: MSIE 7: Working
Firefox 2.0.0.4: Working
Safari 3.0.2: Working
Opera 9.21 (8776): Working
Please use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Opera or something that supports HTTP Digest Authentication compliant with RFC2617!
Also you get this if you entered the wrong password

And I KNOW I got the right password... Do I have to update my browser to get in or something? I'm using IE 6

When I tried logging into the QuickAdmin, I managed to get to the page that has the options of updating, but when I tried (as I did the other day), I got this again (I logged in once and updated no prob like a week ago)

Can't request an update: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ComicGenesis_Cecilia'' at line 1

My biggest problem is that, since I'm currently too busy this month to update the comics themselves, I am updating all my pages. I can't update pages without the admins!

Aramas, this is not the place for your question - see the top Announcement thread - all siteadmin related issues are going in there right now.

Mew Master - I'm not aware of there being an issue with the full update, but from what you described, I wouldn't use the very intensive full update anyway - a Regular Update handles the comics of the last thirty days.
