Comic Updating problem

Post by Mew Master »

Okay, this is the second time this has happened since we switched over to Comic Genesis.

I put my new Comic for today up in my SmartFTP browser and place in workspace/comics last night at about 9:30PM Central

The date is 20060110 (comic) and 20060110a (txt document).

http://geekway.comicgen.com

I have ran Full Update twice (or three times, lost track somwhere between 3:30Am and 6:30AM) and my comics are still sitting in my Workspace/comics.

Now, this may just be a problem of the fact that I want the new comic to update at 12AM Monday Night/Tuesday Morning and be uploaded and ready for reading then. I live in Central US and have my AutoUpdate set to "12AMPST/PDT 00:00@GMT-0800 TODAY."

I would like for my comic to be updated at Midnight Central time on Tuesdays and Fridays, but it's being difficult for some blasted reason.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Later!

Don't use full update unless you've been mucking about in /public_html. Regular is more than enough to get your comic updated, and full can put a bit of a strain on the server if too many people are doing it.

Unfortunately midnight PST is when a lot of comics update, so your site may not update at the stroke of midnight. And if you want it to update at midnight CST, you're going to have to take time zones into account when you select your update offset.

I have no real idea why it wouldn't update, though. Check the filename of your comic, make sure it's the right date and that the extension isn't uppercase. Other than that, I don't know...

Yes. Keenspot is headquartered in California.

Use the old one then. I understand eventually we'll have a single point of entry, but for now, use whichever works best for you.
