Make your "Uncle Sam" title more horizontal and less tall, so people don't have to scroll down as much. Anti-alias the graphics so the edges aren't so rough (the guns, the words "Nooze" etc.) Maybe make the guns smaller. Make either your text or your background a lighter color on your news section. ...
