Re: Brainstorming new background characters?
Most of the agreeable silent majority athiests I know (or have known) fall into the "apatheist" category. I can think of one who simply out-grew his religious upbringing without the common angry period. You're clearly not hanging out with the atheists who are MY circle of friends. But then, my circ...

Re: Quicker website
Huh...weird. My comics are of similar sizes and they load all zippy-fast an' stuff. And, for that matter, so are yours; I just checked. Maybe the problem is actually on your end, with your own personal web connection? One thing I might recommend is dropping the file size down even further, actually....

Re: Whispering Balloon in Photoshop? (SOLVED)
Have to admit, I have NO idea what you're asking. I've no idea what you mean by "filter a layer". That could mean so very many things; can you be a bit more specific? Also, why would you need to have a round section removed from a square background, are you not selecting a round area right from the ...

Re: Query: Reading your own comic?
Well, I re-read my stuff quite a bit. Partly to check stuff for correct continuity, and partly because (at risk of seeming immodest), I genuinely do like the comics I've made and I like to re-read them. Yeah...I like my comics too, but I wonder if I'll be pleased when it's over. I mean, I'm telling...

As a super-taster, I can detect bitterness in foods which other people can't. As in... at all. As I understand it, being a super-taster actually has survival benefit; bitte...

Query: Reading your own comic?
Something I've been wondering for a little bit now: how often do you go through your archives, re-reading your own comic, most or in its entirety? And why? Or if you don't, why not? I re-read my own comic every now and then--which isn't much so far; it's only been going since July 2nd, but that's st...

I have a friend that brought an 85% cocoa chocolate bar to class once. I tasted it and then wanted to edit undo. Oh, the bitterness. The friend continued to devour the chocolate happily. As a super-taster, I can detect bitterness in foods which other people can't. As in... at all. Anything even the...

Re: Whispering Balloon in Photoshop? (SOLVED)
Yeah, that's essentially what I've done. A few details are different, slight tweak of the settings, but yeah. :) Mind you, your balloon doesn't have the tail on it to point at the character, but it's basically the same thing. I just wish there was a way to do it that wasn't path-based...can be awful...

Re: Where do you draw the line between manga and western style?
But did the industrialisation of manga and derivatives dilute something essential to the form? Aww, that's got nothing to do with it, at least not on my end; the real problem is over-exposure, a kind of "familiarity breeds contempt" sort of thing. I mean, consider this as an analogy: I actually rea...
