Re: What the funk?!??

joshnickerson wrote:Okay, just what the hell is going on in today's (9.4.02) comic?
You mean where Marc went to change a lightbulb, accidently started a fire, threw toxic waste upon the fire causing it to mutate into a gigantic fire demon? Just the same old everyday stuff.

Well, my version of Frankie is just a really big, really strong guy who gets talked into helping pull a few robberies. He's not keen on it, but he goes along because he really needs the money to pay for motorcycle repairs.

He's designated bad guy most likely to reform. :)

I never said I wasn't silly.

Hey, at least I don't belong to a culture that views "swearing eternal vengence" as normal and genocide as a viable military tactic! :)

Borrowing Frankie...

Hey, do you mind if I "borrow" Roadrash Frankie? I'm working up villains for a Champions campaign I'm going to be running and Frankie just fits the bill for a Biker Brick I need to round out a group of bad guys.

On a side note, anyone else here play RPG's?

"The current form of American government is a Representitive Democracy." -Doc Last time I took history, we where called a "Republic". Not to nitpick or anything :) Republic covers a LOT of ground. The USSR was a republic at the height of communism. You just couldn't get to be a representiative unle...

Geography nitpick! The District of Columbia is surrounded by Maryland on three sides, and by the Potomac River on the fourth side. The State of Virginia claims that the Potomac River is entirely in Maryland so that it doesn't have to pay for the upkeep of bridges over the Potomac. The Pentagon is N...

Re: A topic good enough to make me register :)

Secondly, Doc's comment about Tribes A & B is right-on, and what I don't understand is why we're "damned if we don't" (give money/weapons to Tribes A/B). Apparently, you missed the bit about Tribe C hating us for not giving them money and weapons first. At this point you should be saying to yoursel...

You mean it's not a Kilt? Anywho... I wanted to make a small commentary on why Middle Eastern tribes hate Americans... Note I say Tribes, not Countries. This is the over-simplified version. Our story starts back some 400 years BC, give or take... Tribe A lives accross the river from Tribe B. Tribe A...

You turned the comic into your own personal soapbox, which is something most self-centered, self-righteous jackasses with a chance to speak to a lot of people do. I believe that Rann has provided a suitable body of evidence that clearly shows that he (I'm guessing) is the formost expert on the acti...

Let's see. I love this country. I love being here, the options I have here and the beauty that surrounds me. I hate the way it's run. This isn't a democracy any more, it's pure capitalism. Except a vignette only covers one instance (typically), this covers many.
Would that then make it a "Pie of Life" strip?

And when BJ gets back from his camping trip, we all get another slice. 8)

Great, our author is biaised against sex. Now our only chance is violence. Um... BJ quite clearly states that Jackie's Fridge is a "Slice of Life" comic, not a gratuitous flaunting of sexual practices. I'm pretty sure that he's not biased against sex, but that still wouldn't make him include gratui...

I was more amused by the first-time-ever innocent bystander in the background.

At least, I can't think of another strip where Joey drew a character who wasn't directly involved with the story.
