Hey, it was a fun game. Bouncing from near-distaster to near-distaster makes for some dramatic moments.

Tactics for combat: 1) See the monsters. 2) Fireball the monsters. 3) Charge the monsters. 4) Nearly die. Occasionally loose a PC. Who cares? We got Raise Dead! (Then Res and True Res) 5) Win anyway. One PC went through about five different races due to Reincarnation and wierd spells. Started out a ...

Yes, you can take 10, you can take 20, you can assist. Hey, if you want, you can even use tactics! :D

(Cause my last D&D party sure didn't...Until *AFTER* we caused an apocalypse...)

Terra: Search check: Iron door: (1d20+1=2) Ouch. I'm sorry. I'm not faking these rolls; they really are coming out this bad on the first try. :( And, well, um, it's a door. You're fairly sure of that. (Also, without the Find Traps ability, you can't find traps with a DC higher than 20, which is pre...

Jakob: Search check: Iron door: (1d20+7=13) As far as you can tell, there are no traps.

My halfling Swashbuckler/Duelist got his hands on a power armour suit due to nazi gnomes and an interplaner invasion. He had a lot of fun with that.

Aeron: Search check: Archway: (1d20+1=10) Well, it's made of grayish-purple stone, it's got decorative 'ripple' carvings in the style of, say, a bank, it's got large silvery glowing runes on the outside that are curved and come to sharp points. The vertical pillars are about eight feet high; the ac...

The bowls do a great immitation of 'Not a button'.

And, right, onward. Your silly GM forgot to mention the iron door at the end of the room. Surprisingly enough, it's not rusty. It's rather flat and blank, in fact and has a large brass handle in the shape of a loop.

Jakob: Search check: (Left side) (1d20+7=17) The're about a foot and a quarter wide and about a foot deep. They do indeed contain almost nothing, although a bit of water has collected at the bottom.

Jakob: Search check: Right Side: (1d20+7=14) These look about the same.

Aeron: Bardic Knowledge check: Runes: (1d20+4=9) They're, um, runes. And they're glowing. Terra: Spot check: (1d20+0=4) There's a broken chair frame right in front of you. It's iron and looks like someone took some heavy object to it. Elana: Bardic Knowledge check: Runes: (1d20=18) One time, while ...

Thanks to Thunderhowl for posting the list, I've looked over those characters' languages...And oops, some don't seem to have them, which is partly my fault.

Of the ones I did see with languages, none could read the runes. although one character had languages that would bear a similarity.

You want backstory? 'Because it's there' isn't good enough? Ok. The fabled dungeon of Zormel has swallowed many an adventurer over the years. Suprisingly enough, none of them made it out alive. Or at least, that's what everybody knows. According to a contact of yours, there have in fact been survivo...
