And we have an extra point awarded to all of our lovely participents. :P *reailzes how much time he's wasted on ranking imaginary girls on how attracted he is to them* Hmm... I suddenly feel a dire need to do something either helpful, meaningful, or both in order to conteract my previous frivolity.

This may suprise some folks, but... current standings: Lori: 5 (somehow doesn't do it for me, but the scene of her eating snow earned her a point and the scene of her throwing up the horns with wild hair and skimpy undies was worth two point [I usually only like to give out a point per strip, but th...

I'm an existentialist! No wait, I mean.... I'm a wild pig! Anywho... I'm a big fan of King of the Hill myself. Also okay on Aqua Teen, but since I stopped smoking it's lost one whole heck of a lot of its appeal. My current line-up of tons of entertaining stuff that I shouldn't be spending my time on...

Mary's got pretty good form, that punch could really have hurt. I love it when a girl knows how to throw a punch.

Currect Score:
Mary: 6
Mel: 8

She's still got some catching up to do to make it to my primary fan-boy fantasy girl from 8:1 though.

Errr... I meant style. *withholds comments about how Jimmy Buffett, his various transfromsations from country to island and back and forth and so on, maintained the same style of songwriting and the same heart to his music* ... I need to learn to either express myself more consisely or.. errr... not...

Hmmm... I may be just too into a consistent sytyle for a band to really get into a lot of indie groups. I'm definatley gonna check out Her Majesty though.

A random assortment of NPR podcasts.

Wait, that just ended...

I didn't dig Incredibles all that much. I think I just have trouble connecting with animated characters. I definately loved Pan's Labyrinth and Eternal Sunshine, though.

Eli the Barrow Boy - The Decemberists I hate to say it, but The Crane Wife just didn't do it for me like Picaresque did. I'm not saying that it's bad 'cause it's major label, just that the only Decemberist I had heard before was Picaresque and I loved that 'cause of the stories told by each song. Cr...

I am currently reading "Pogonomyrmex Harverster Ants" by Cole ( the definitive book on the genus) and "The World of Harverster Ants" by Taber. Boo Bio research projects. However, to keep myself sane while getting through those I started "Something Wicked this Way Comes" by Bradbury. Bradbury is Godl...

And I'd feel amiss if I didn't note that I'm very sad that making music with Bonnie Price Billy is treated like a bad thing by Freddie. I think William Oldham's brill, whatever name he's using.

Yhea, character change is so rare. This whole exchange is really interesting to me, it really struck me from out of left field to see the previously two-dimensional jock Jason be turned into a very human character with struggles and trials and emotio-thingies and etcetras. Weather he changes or not,...

Yhea, I think that was a great match-up the cryabetes came up with, I was definately conflicted, but I finally went with Sigur Ros becuase I have a certain amount of respect for a band willing to sing literal nonsense.

w00t! I've done my part in spreading the 65dos propoganda.

Sorry, it sounded like scathing sarcasm. Just glad I didn't scare you away. I think the funky way I talk and my propensity for melodrama are things that take getting used to. I doubt this is the first time I've managed something like that, come to think of it... Hmm... well to anyone on the boards ...

? Err... I know I'm crazy over-the-top, but I wasn't being sarcastic. I would think Duff would like to hear compliments, even my particular brand of wacky ones. Didn't mean to scare you off. If you think I'm just trying to revoke my previous comments, just look back in the "what are you listening to...

*listens to some Coltrane and Davis* *listens to some Yellowjackets* Why... you know, they do have a pretty similar sound. Of course when Bird and Coltrane were doing it, it was a lot more revolutionary. But the phrasing and ideas of the song have a lot in common. The Yellowjackets are one of the fe...
