Is there a workspace directory under your public_html? If not, don't create one. It's actually a link. /public_html/workspace goes to /workspace That's the one I'm talking about that you might need an admin to recreate - it's requried for your updates to run properly. How do I get them to recreate ...

Do you mean they're not being generated? If so, make sure you have the dailytemplate.html in your workspace folder (NOT in workspace/webpages, NO capitals in the name or extention and NOT .htm as the file type). Oh yeah, it's there... Honestly, I am not quite sure why those HTML archives aren't wor...

*nod* I went ahead and did that, and also re-uploaded all my stuff... Now the only thing that doesn't work is the /d/YYYYMMDD.html files... Dunno how (or if) I can get those back.

Think I did something horrendous....

Umm... ok... I have FlashFTP, which is how I've been uploading all my data (comics, webpages, etc.) Well, a friend of mine told me to try doing it directly from FrontPage, where I do most of my editing... I tried it, but when I went to Publish Web (I have a comics web set up on my PC with all the da...

You're lucky to have a handle on HTML at all. If it was someone like me deleting the index page at 2 in morning, I would tear my hair out and consider my comic "dead" because of it. LoL Don't let my update fool you... I didn't do ANYTHING to fix the problem. The site updated, and it fixed itself. A...

*forehead-desk* Ever have one of THOSE nights?

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I'm no idiot when it comes to webdesign. Hell, it's how I make most of my money!! So why is it that, when dealing with my OWN websites, I am about the dumbest person on the planet?! I was up VERY late last night, trying very hard to update my webcomic, Reality Challen...

I don't know what the timeframe is for deleting accounts without updates, but I do know there are some things you can do to get around the writer's "block", as it were.... If the three of you know the basic idea of what you want to do, you and the artist can get your heads together to do some "fille...

Adding a Rant to the Index

If I want to add a progressive Rant section (something I can add onto with each comic), do I need to continuously resubmit it as 2006XXXXb.txt, or can I just add it into the index directly somehow? Also, how DO I update to get it to upload? Should I just upload it individually, or run an index updat...

Hmm... doesn't seem to want to fix it. I checked the data on each of the images on the index page (just in case it was pulling from different places) and it looks like my index page is seeing ***todays_comics*** as TWO of the same command, for some reason.... I checked all the folders again, and all...

Check your indextemplate.html file in your workspace directory (you should be able to right click it, then choose Edit, or something along those lines, depending on your FTP Client). Check to see if the tag ***todays_comics*** appears twice. If that's the case, that would explain it, and all you wo...

hmm.... It doesn't LOOK like there's more than one... Here's what I have when I access it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/svogar/comic/Untitled-1.jpg I checked in the other folders, as well... it doesn't appear to be duplicated anywhere, that I can see. (I checked comics, d, w, images (just ...

Comic doubling up....

Hey, everyone... I'm a total n00b at this, so PLEASE forgive me if I sound more than a little spastic. I just started getting my comic up (finally), and I find a certain problem when I go to view my site. I put in the url: http://insearchofdreams.comicgenesis.com , and it loads, but it displays the ...
