@ tellner: Quick blurb -- when people stop thinking about the laws that govern their lives and accept what someone else has decided unquestioningly, we end up with the kind of oppressive government that needs overthrowing. The Government is no more valid a "big guy in the sky" to tell us what to do ...

That's happening because you're getting your input as a "string" and the + operator, when used with strings, merely concatentates them, that is, it just tacks them on the ends, as you've seen. Javascript has a handy little method called parseInt("String"); It'll convert a string value into an integr...

Another messed-up Japanese TV show...

Shut a guy in a room with no clothes or food until he wins 1,000,000 yen by writing postcards off to contests, and force him to live of his winnings, and you get

Wow. I agree almost completely. Handy-dandy. I want to be able to own a 50-caliber automatic weapon if I choose to, though. Civillians don't need Humvees, 72-inch plasma TVs, $30,000 recliners, dual-core, hyperthreading 3.2gHz, 8 gig ram, 2 gig video card computers, or that 38' yacht, either... but ...

My comic plays as a movie (anime, actually) in my head while I draw. I find myself sitting back and 'watching' rather than completing the task.

Gun Control: I don't take issue with the types/"danger levels" of the guns out there so much as the kinds of people who have access to them: Namely, small-minded/idiotic/stupid people. I don't care if someone feels they need a machine pistol in case they're attacked some time, hell, I'd want one, to...

I wholeheartedly agree. Just be sure to clip the edges of the printer paper ('cause some printers hide personal information), to wear gloves the entire time, to use a #2 pencil, not ink, and... mail it from an out-of state mailbox, and go to and from that box wearing a disguise and with no liscence...

Any computer-run, automated road-running sytem would have to have safeguards built in for that, methinks. A wall, perhaps, but that makes entering and exiting/pulling over somewhat of a chore -- if you get a flat but there's no exit for another howevermany feet....

We are going to have our scientists come up with some concrete, logical, demonstrable, answer for when life physiologically starts, and use that. Until then, we'll keep buttin heads over perception and religion. So, yeah. Sciguy, ya pretty much hit the nail on the head there. I know that if I were a...

Corgan, you made my day. We need pictures. With little arrows and circles labelling "blue imac" "running ubuntu" "microsfot 2-button mouse"

I could label... but would you take a picture for me? Maybe of a loading screen with a nice big "ubuntu" title?
