Squeaky: What's your definition of scrapple? The kind I'm familiar with is mostly chunks of polenta (corn meal) fried with meat. The one I remember uses whatever can be scraped out of a pig's head other than the eyes. Don't wanna eat anything someone thunk with, Don't need those strange thoughts ru...

I haven't set foot in the comics store for years, and am better for it. That really sounds like the ending of an AA Speech. o.O Actually, calling it an addiction is pretty close to describing it. It's pathetic when you care more about the current storyline of Superman than finishing your college co...

Y'know, it's kinda sad - I used to really enjoy reading DC comics. I would go to the local comics store every Wednesday like clockwork to pick up the new issues. The store owner was always happy to see me (interesting enough, he was almost a dead ringer for the comic store guy in The Simpsons ). I w...

I call on any and all comic geeks (said with GREAT RESPECT) for a brain boost. The name "Ralph Dibny" keeps running thru my head, I know he's some superhero but damned if I can remember who it is. Is it "The Atom?" The name "Sue Dibny" trigger the memory. Please don't laugh too loudly, but I haven'...

Re: the latest strip. Am I the only one floored by the inclusion of a Yule log on Beltane's verboten list? You'd think it'd be one of the few items she wouldn't ban. Proving once again that Beltane is not doing this because of her religious beliefs. She is doing this because she is stupid. And what...

OK. I had already found the Belfry Index, but sometimes a spur-of-the-moment mention, an interesting ad or a well-done crossover can do more to catch my interest than seeing a listing with 'Fave' on it. For instance, I was drawn to 'Schlock Mercenary' thanks to RH's borrowing of the universe in UTLT...

Thanks, Bo! I'm relatively new at reading webcomics (a year or two), and I always appreciate when someone points me to a new one I enjoy. :D

On a side note, it would be interesting to know how other 'undead' creatures in the TOTQ universe appear when they are 'kenned'. This 'lux invisibility' may be a common attribute of creatures kept animated through unnatural means, or it may be unique to the shadow-rats.

*Gasp* Am I the only one here who's seen the classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" animated special, directed by Chuck Jones and Narrated by Boris Karloff? :o Absolutely not - I think that we have just found the one person on the planet who HASN'T seen it. It's definitely much better than...

I think he is either going to take her to a clothing store (perhaps a designer one), or.... hmmm.... I have the general idea, but how specifically would it work... I agree that you have the general idea. Tuck's challenge will be to make Thelma see herself as HE sees her. He may take her to a store ...

If she did that, most of the staff would probably be in Depends. I was thinking along the lines that he was looking for someone to shill for him and she seems like a good choice. She is also nice eyecandy (albeiet fruity and nutty) which would be a bonus for him, but I haven't a clue after that. I ...

In the sicuation I would get...on...the...bed...now. But that's just me. It's most likely the 'safe zone'... That's a good point. I think that everyone, Christian and Pagan alike, should take a hard, long look at the history of the interaction of religions in the past before complaining about religious rights in our day and age. We should be thankful that nowadays, such conflicts are fought with complaints, petitionning and l...

I think the shadow-rats are feeding on the lux. As for why they chased off the brownies, I think it was for revenge - the shadow-rats are either cousins to or manifesting spirits of the rats that were hunted down and killed by Colin and the brownies. This would also explain why they are after Colin....

Y'know, Shaaruuk, there are times when politeness and restraint are called for, and there are times when it is necessary to crack someone between the eyes with an ax-handle. You were definitely in an ax-handle situation! If she had turned to you and said, "I don't celebrate Christmas, but I ap...

I can eat pickled pepperoncini's, which are pretty mild and add a lot of flavor to a sandwich, but anything stronger isn't worth trying. Why anyone would want to consume a natural insecticide is beyond my ability to understand. Capsicum does nothing for the flavor of food, in my humble opinion. It'...
