Vlad, completely confused, looks out the arrow slit. His eyes go wide and he crosses himself. Turning back to Toma he says, "I can honestly say that I have never seen a creature like that before."

"I have no idea," Vlad says, "But I'm pretty sure it has something to do with John and his village or family."

I'd recommend Battlestar Galactica, myself. Good writing, great characters and wonderful effects.

He makes a gesture and speaks some arcane words. Deac is paralized, but he can still speak.
