Topic: Something Different, Why a webcomic?

I honestly don't know how to answer this, because I reckon I'm a bit of an odd one out in regards to webcomics... I started drawing this webcomic because a friend suggested we start one, I said 'like I have the time' then fiddled with some figures based on a story I was working on, and emailed back ...

I don't mind a little bit of repeated panels. I don't think the grammar in that sentence is correct, but I've spent a week teaching and I don't want to bother correcting on a Friday night...I've repeated a panel up to three times in a four panel sequence because the character had a decent amount of ...

Can I be a little mean and suggest changing the glaring green background?

Mind you...take that suggestion however you wish...I've been told off twice for the background we've used, so take my choice of colour with a grain of salt :)

Yeah, I've seen British Rugby fans - a dangerous lot. You haven't seen British Rugby fans. No really, I live in Twickenham, the holy grail of Rugby. Rugby crowds are the easiest and nicest bunch of middle aged men you'll likely find (second to cricket, but that crowd mostly consists of OAPs). Now B...

Update more often, and you can cut it down to a one-year story arc! That won't take too much more effort, will it? :)

Feel free to type with capital letters in your reply to this

Like, American Football vs. British Football. Full contact. And then, to be fair to the British, Cricket vs. Baseball. See, I'm an equal opportunity bloodier of atheletes. Yeah! Two definite gold medals for Australia there! We don't need body armour when WE play football...and cricket, well...that'...

Pfft. In Australia? Heck, there's even several thousand miles of desert between me and xmung and he'd probably be the best bet.

Though frankly, I feel that I was overcritical. Someone might hate me for going there and slandering such popular comics as "PvP", "Mac Hall" or (gasp) "Sore thumbs". Are they popular comics, eh? Never been to 'em...are they really worth it, or are they like sitcoms now just churning out the same o...

Local comic book shop? Oh that I lived closer to a major metropolitan centre with access to such resources... Actually...scrub that...perfectly happy living well away from any major metropolitan centres...despite a lack of access to such resources... But a good idea none the less...good luck with it.

Well...that simple little question has certainly turned over a whole lot of discussion...When I first posted I was sort of hoping for a few replies with a few numbers I could quickly compare against and then go away and either say 'Cool, we're doin' okay' or 'Well, we're going slowly but I reckon we...

Ooh...I like that one! Will definitely give that one a try...I was thinking of sepia as well, but that'd definitely be colour and I don't think I want that in the black'n'whites...but the grey...:)

Ooh...rotten flesh...their just gonna be dead...not zombies! :) What I'm going for are characters than look like normal people, act like normal people, and really are normal people, with just the fact that they're dead being all that is different. I'll fiddle with some ideas and stuff and see where ...

It's official...this thread has now lost all relevance to the original topic...

BUT...it lasted three pages, so at least it's keeping people entertained!

Oh, and I hope that contagion clears up soon, McDuffies... :)

Not sure what you can do to fix that, but I know in my case I just update the dropdown.txt file whenever a new storyline begins or a new Special is online. Means I have to go back to the original file and upload it every now and then when the story shifts, but so far it works okay.

Congratulations on the recognition, Pin. It's always good to see someone from the neighbourhood reach out beyond the boundary fence. It also gives confidence to we relatively new members to keep pushing on with our little projects...

One year in October eh? Nearly there....nearly there...

I can't really help you on the guest-art stuff, but three years is a milestone worth a mention. Congratulations on the relative longevity you've achieved. That milestone is still almost 30 months in the future for us, but it's good to see others can make it there!

Good luck for the future.

Maybe if you removed the dates and that last comma off the end, and perhaps it needs a space between the first comma and the /d/etc... stuff afer the titles? Dunno if that's what's causing the problem, but with mine I've just typed "Casper's First Day, /d/20040612.html" (quotation marks removed) and...
