Your shadows aught to be expanding and contracting as the balls move up and down, by the way. :) I second this. How dare the shadows not perform as they would in real life. Actually, I think analysis of the nature of shadows is built into our brains, and it was distracting to me. I shall never visi...

Biologically, the entire human race is like one big family enjoying incest. It would be nice if say, we could have sex with aliens, but again only the scale would change.

One time in America when I was around six or so, a next-door neighboor called the police because I was drinking beer with my dad. The cops asked me to walk in a straight line, so I walked in a straight line backwards for greater effect. Why was I drinking beer at age six? My family is from Mexico, a...

You might also consider getting in the way of cars. Honestly, though, I think everyone here needs a girlfriend/boyfriend. Oh wait. I get it. Comedy. I should have figured something like this, seeing as the kind of work you do. Slick.   Good job. =b I found it interesting how people ...

I saw K-Pax. Very good story. I did not notice until now, but I see how Prot's description of how his race has sex can imply the existence of God/a greater intelligence. What a clever author, if that was his intention. Although, I do not think any race would survive if its love-makin' didn't feel go...

It seems like an excuse. As in, they may have been wanting out for a while before that. Although, it is not really all that tame because there is a huge religious community centered around that goofy character. What is his name? Levis or Jevis or something.

How strange. I wonder what kind of network thingie they use. Token-ring is really good. I am jealous of and respect Keenspot and its artists/staff. I am worried Keenspot might rush through things a little too quickly and create an undesirable balance between quality and quantity. In other words, I d...

I use Painter Classic also. Unfortunately, Classic is Painter version 2 or something like that. At least it feels like a very old product after trying the current Painter, which is version 8. I would buy 8 if I could afford it.

Corel Painter is really good. You might want to download a trial. It is not a PS equivalent. It is a different type of art program that focuses on natural media (watercolor, charcoal, crayons, chalk, airbrush, impasto, etc.) and has a nifty brush technology. Combined with a pressure-sensitive Wacom ...

Just remember that movies, books, etc. are made by humans. I have read the beginning of some really stupid books and watched too much of too many really stupid movies.

That all sounds good. I am of the nature of not using rules or guides. They do not have anything to do with continuity. I can design an incredibly random or incredibly continuous or incredibly whatever story without any rules.

Pacing, structure, foreshadowing, characterisation, use of closure, description, metaphor, timing and so forth are the technical aspects of creative writing. I see. That is a lot of stuff. What else is there to creative writing other than its technical aspects? To summarize, I think story creation ...

I do not think creativity can be tought. The confusion lies with the students. They take "techniques" far more seriously than they should. I have heard people asking silly stuff like, "Is three characters too much to introduce at the beginning?" And, "Is it about time the story climaxed?" And yet t...

I do not think any courses for creative endeavors like storytelling and drawing offer any help. Improvement results from experience, and so in this way courses are good, but just about as good as doing the same amount of stuff on your own. Well, if you think about it, what you are trained with is t...
