I'm not kidding about the most different art styles though. I tend to get bored of a particular style very quick, so it usually changes drastically from day to day.

My not having a faith takes meaning from that question. So, out of curiosity, is there something else you encounter in life which gives you a sense of personal "fulfillment", as a proxy for what most people use religion? Since you earnestly value science and reason, is there some way in which you t...

That is how I see it. I completely trust the books I read whose content was formed from the ground up, starting with 1 + 1 = 2 or even logic more basic than that. My faith in science is perfect. I believe no religion can garner such faith. Except perhaps one which befriends science, such as Buddhism...

Re: Be a Buddy and Help me find Comic Ads with fallacies
whether the product is delivered or not does not change how effective the ad is But if the product is delivered you cannot use the ad in your paper about "fallacies in them to convince consumers to go to their product or service". Hmmm. I think you are misreading that sentence. Let me show you how ...

The question I would put forward is: How have you personally experienced your faith today? My not having a faith takes meaning from that question. I think God exists because so many people believe in him. i.e. I think his existence is B.S., but if I say, "God can lick my balls" in the middle of a c...

But, the quote says nothing about the product, just about the advertisement. Whether the product is delivered or not does not change how effective the ad is, unless people are aware that the ad is misleading from a past experience. If it was asking about marketing campaign fallacies, that would make...

I do not know how native Americans got their flood stories. So just by changing a name the story is different? I thought Noah's life was extended. I am aware of oral tradition. I am not arguing against you in these points. As I said, I think mcDuffies' proposition is most likely. That is, a big floo...

Re: Be a Buddy and Help me find Comic Ads with fallacies
I'm got an assignement for class to write a paper on Ads that have "fallacies in them to convince consumers to go to their product or service". I'm planning on doing mine on webcomic ads cause as we all know, there are some very creative BS ads. But I'd like to increase how many ads I have for refe...

Global flooding is a story that's been found in cultures as far away as Precolumbian Mesoamerica and Korea. Try again. Try what again? Gilgamesh is old. I am pretty sure it is the oldest of any writing that has global flooding. In fact, I think it is the oldest of any story writing whatsoever. I wo...

As far as God being portrayed as a person, christianity has that wonderful little argument that 'man was created in God's image.' So, obviously it's not that we made God to be like us, rather that God made us to be like him. Obviously. I mean, it is completely impossible that God would have been cr...

I think conservatism and creativity are indeed opposites. Not verballly, but in what they represent. I suggest reading Gilgamesh. A certain story of the Bible took something straight out of it. So...pathetic! As I said somewhere else, those who wrote the Bible were in great need of creative writing ...

I still play classic games regularly. More than I play current games. As for the PSP, I was impressed when I read about it, but I read an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto (God,) and he was real quick to point out that he had not heard anything about the battery life of the PSP. That made me laugh. Su...

Cool. Soap, you are almost my idol. Unfortunately, that position is already taken by me.
I guess it is true that cats have fast reaction times. That tear must have come out, like, right away.

Are you religious? It is as if a religious person created that image.

I do not judge the avatar, I just use it as an ID. If some person is commonly annoying, I will prejudge their posts as annoying by seeing their avatar. Of course the same could be said of seeing their name, but their name has to actually be read. An avatar can be scanned instantly, saving precious t...
