Yeah, same here. I hate companies that offer services for free only to start charging for them after a while. If you ask me, it's not worth 5 bucks. I don't get all that many hits from there, and the only good thing about it is you can bookmark and track your favorite comics easily. http://comics.d...

KJ really is the hardest working gal on Space.
Except that I'm *cough* kindofnotonSpaceanymore.

I'm pondering "Intershad-Os".

Blue stars, red sacred hearts, and yellow skull-and-crossbones.

And nothing actually shaped like an "O", just to confuse people.

I really like your art, andrewdickman - welcome to the board! I'll keep an eye on your comic. As for introduction threads...I don't know, it just seems politer and friendlier than a newbie just sticking his/her head into existing conversations, leaving people to wonder just who the heck this person ...

I've never had confusion online - I've always been unambigously female with my screennames and etcetera (though I wouldn't rule out the possibility that somebody wouldn't know "Kathleen" was a female name). Nor in real life - I really look like a girl. My brother, though, has longer hair than I do (...

I live on the bufferless edge. At most, I'll get one comic ahead.
Comic work tends to expand to fill the time for me. Say, if I had three times as much time as usual to work on a comic, I wouldn't produce three comics - I'd probably end up doing ONE comic with three times the detail.

Hm, interesting topic. I could pull out links from three and a half years ago that would truly make your eyes bleed...but I think I'll stick with stuff from the second incarnation of my comic (the past year or so). Worst: http://www.intershadows.com/?date=20031013 This is one ugly mofo. The characte...

Thanks, faub! That means a lot coming from you, seriously. Props now to Sylvan/Psiogen (who incidentally started out in the same batch of Keenspacers as I did) - man, every one of your projects is more fascinating than the last, you're always exporing new territory, and your funky, stylized artstyle...

Good thread. Al Schroeder is the extremely dedicated author of a unique, well done, longstanding comic, and in every community I've seen him in he's a friendly guy and a productive/constructive forumite. I thought this might be breaking Rule 1, and then it occured to me that maybe I've never actuall...

Excellent link. Sequential Tart is tops.

And come to think of it, I've got more than one pair of fingerless armgloves...it never would have occured to me to wear them for pencil drawing.

I've got black and red stripey, black and purple stripey, black and white stripey, and plain ol' black. Yup.

Whoa. This is pretty sick. But then, Keenspace's top comic by far is one that revolves entirely around tenticle rape...so it's not like these forums are in some position to act morally righteous. This is where drawing boundaries gets nearly impossible. Ghastly's comic, for example, is essentially go...

This discussion comes up every once in a while with my comic...and my only decision that's always constant is that Christina Ricci has to be Jenny. It must be. The rest...a bunch of unknowns that I'll discover at coffee shops or in local theatre or something. It would be an indie, art-house kind of ...
