On Christian ceremony and symbolism in America - unless you're discussing Catholicism, there really isn't anything more than the cross representing Jesus' giving His life. We have no sacred rituals, foods, prayers, or clothing. It is an informal religion in which each person is under no religious a...

I thought that maybe Lineaus didn't know quite as much Gragum as he thought.... But the above makes more sense. More of the tolerence for unpleasent things then a death wish though :). On a side note, Now we know how he's going to get around. Deep Green said that Lineaus would have to fend for himse...

As a note, not all blind people wear sunglasses. Jon and Richard, former students at my college, are identical twin brothers, both blind (not geneticly, but the Docs fudged up on the oxygen level or something and it burned out the retinas. Sad.) They only way I know was I saw them wlking around with...

So... some people would come here and post *just* to bash judeo-christian beliefs? For the fun of it? Ergh. Not cool.

*Sigh*

I guess I really did grow up sheltered.

Really? Huh. I wouldn't care either way. Being Christian and all, well, I just see faith and religion in almost anything I read/say/do. It is very natural to me for this to slide over to missions. Now, if Avalon or Itswalky did this... i might have a problem, but only if they unfairly treated the pe...

Where did the term "squib" come from? In my line of work, a squib is a small, remotely-detonated explosive firework. It's from Harry Potter. A squib is someone who has wizards as parents (both, not just one), but has no magical ability themselves. Akin to, say, two telepaths (teeps) in Babylon 5 ha...

Re: Help!

Argh. Obviously y'all are able to see the latest comic -- but I can't find it anywhere on Keenspace. When I look at http://utlt.keenspace.com/ , I still see the comic for Sunday, January 25, 2004. So where are you finding it? I'm not sure where the problem is, but when I tried to go to Keenspace.co...

Wow. Very well done, Linnaeus. And now we know what "Min H'Yung Kyaddaum means.

On an interesting note, my college is holding a missions conference this week... the timing is... interesting....

A very well done strip.

Question about the Stained Glass....

I noticed that the Stained Glass Window behind the cross has five major items of note. The angel and the olive(?) branches I get, but the Human, Rac Conan (did I get that right?), and the stag, this confuses me... Is this a representation of the Trinity (Human = God the Father, Rac Conan = God the S...

BTW, my two bits on "Min h'yung kyadaum." It looks like the Gragum (Or Deep Green anyway) have given Quentyn a title. Wether it means "Little Child," "The God Slayer," or "The Puny One Who Whooped Butt", I don't know, but I take it as a good sign.

...I'm sure the position of Questor is in some loose way interconnected with Rac Conan faiths, if not in the formal manner of a Paladin or something similar. A defender of righteousness, maybe... Maybe something like one of the Judges of Israel, or David's Mighty Men. I perfer the Former, personally.

It seems that the Deep Green is very confused. Note the distiction he (Quentyn) places on which ones Deep Green means when he speaks. Deep Green was pretty "heh, yeah, they had it coming" as I see it. But when he sees Quentyn's kills, something is different. How they died. The guards my be good, but...

For this, I rely on my Gen Psych text. As a note, the human ear "can hear a ticking watch under quiet conditions." Would that be "Windtalkers" with Nicholas Cage? Sorry I don't know the other guy, but much of my focus was on Cage's charecter and how he dealt w/ Nihilism and suicide.
