I have a lovely printer/flatbed scanner (and I've been putting it to work; this week's comics will finally be up later this afternoon!). And my dad teaches comp sci majors, so I'm covered there.

Gotta say, though, I'm dubious about this "life" thing...

Glad you have support. There are helpful resources online, too (not to mention MTF webcomics!), if you ever want more ^_^
