before you do that, check to make sure you have any on-board graphics disabled (you will have to enter your BIOS on boot up for this) if you have an on-board and an AGP card it will conflict and most likely cause the issues you are discribing.

well, if you can get away with it dont buy them in the first place. I must have saved well over a grand simply by never getting them in the first place.
