Here's to Blackaby, perhaps the most spontaneously popular webcomic I've ever witnessed.
Somehow it managed to draw massive amounts of fanart and a plethora of readers even from the very beginning. How? I can't say for certain, but I blame oddly-wholesome corruption and genius character design.

I always talk about video game protagonists in the first person. Usually it's fine. "I jumped down the ledge, I stabbed the guy in the back, I flipped over and grabbed the key, I dodged the spikes, etc. etc.", not "Sam Fisher jumped down the ledge, the Prince of Persia stabbed the guy in the back......
