Re: Autoupdating Newsfeed?

Try adding this CSS to your iframe: style="overflow:hidden;" Cool! I'll give that a shot. :3 I'll update the indextemplate for now, and play around with the iframe options in the meantime. Thanks LC. <3 Also, Ushuia, the best suggestion I can give you is watermarking? You should really make your ow...

Re: Autoupdating Newsfeed?

Sorry, I didn't elaborate. I meant getting rid of the include recentnews.html part and just putting the news updates in indextemplate.html directly. That way, if you upload the edited indextemplate.html on Monday, it should get updated on the site the same time the comic gets posted on Tuesday. (As...

Re: Autoupdating Newsfeed?

I think the indextemplate.html file might automatically update when the comic does. So, you might wanna try just updating the file in /workspace/ the day before the comic goes up. However, have you considered making a Blogspot/Wordpress/Tumblr account and showing it in an iframe? <iframe src="http:...

Autoupdating Newsfeed?

I scanned through the wiki and help pages, but the best I could come up with is ***todays_notes*** which is not quite what I'm going for. Here's muh page: http://mariposa.comicgenesis.com/ I used to have one of those linked bloggers...

Re: What made YOU happy today?

I sat and watched my husband draw the most complicated pattern I've ever seen in my life by hand, and it just blew me away. It brought me back to where we would sit on the couch together, me playing Chrono Trigger for the umpteenth time and him just calmly drawing paisley.

I like him.

Re: Doodles 12: Just like clockwork.

Well... Finally I've got my page redesign done. @_@ The doodle in question is the new logo at the top. It's a bit ...fabulous , but...it's...it's magical! http://mariposa.comicgenesis.com Keep in mind I think that last comic is from...2004? 2005? It's been a while. EDIT: Screw it, we're doing it LIVE!

Re: where dey at

Why, you keep drawing, of course! Even when your drawings make you cringe! Make them, then wad them up and pretend they never existed, but at least make them! And I'm late to this party, but I'll just say - I really miss my good friend who helped me with my old site design in 2000 and even had his o...

Yyyyeahh... I like DA, but whenever I go to the front page (I have it sorted by 'newest') it's usually a mix of bad fanart, adoptables, questionable photos and memes.

Re: What made YOU happy today?

Winter is the worst. I'd far prefer being too hot to being too cold. This summer when it was brutal the only thing that helped me through it was "At least I can feel my extremities. Eff winter." My students freak out when I tell them my hometown gets to -20 C in the winter, and then they tease me fo...

Re: Which character represents you?

*cough* <.< Mariposa Revelation was my high school baby. Every SINGLE one of the characters (every single solitary one) was based on someone I knew in real life, and the main characters were me and my best friends. I was fourteen. What can I say? I do have to say, though, that in the 12 years since ...

Spider's Web by Katie Melua, go go go!

Factoid: That song that's stuck in your head is called a hanauta (nose song) in Japanese. Apparently it's the same word as 'hum'. It just happens to stay in your head. Neat, huh?

Re: What made YOU happy today?

OH man, have you guys ever tried frying thin-sliced provolone cheese? Back when I was vegetarian we'd use it as a bacon substitute and throw it on big crusty sub rolls with artichoke hearts and pesto mayonnaise and cherry tomatoes. Talk about orgasmic... But yeah, you just throw a slice of provolone...
