Happy Birthday! (I'm sure that in some cultures, 23 is a significant milestone age, like 18 or 21 is here. Hm, perhaps this merits research...)

I'd have to go with George. Ringo wasn't "just the drummer", he was the force that kept the Beatles grounded in human reality, kept them from being consumed by the Beatles myth for so long (sort of the anti Beatles Beatle). There's this great quote from John Lennon (I think it's in the Beatles Antho...

I've heard of the existence of a book you might enjoy Remi: Don't call me little bunny by one Gregoire Solotaroff. It's a children's book about a rabbit named Jack Carrot who gets pissed off by people calling him "little bunny" and decides to rob banks. It's mentioned in this month's issue of Book L...

I need a T shirt that refers to an obscure but really cool pop culture phenomenon. (I don't have any. Sigh.)

Of course you could do what Mike suggested when I told him about the button possibility: buy 30 seconds of commercial time during the Superbowl, and have a white screen with the URL in black letters. It would be enigmatic. And really really expensive.

Mike and I could leave piles of them in coffeeshops in various cities as we wander aimlessly around the country searching for a place to call home (sniff).

Okay, that was bizarre. I tried to post a reply here, and everything indicated that it had been posted, but the message is not there. Is there something wrong, or am I missing something? Anyway, my message was that I initially thought that the remark about the digital readout being on the Boy's arm ...

Hmm. I had assumed that the digital readout on the arm not meaning he's a cyborg remark was just Dewey trying to reassure Stewart, but it appears I was mistaken.

Hey, Too Fat to be a Rockstar now has kung fu! Alright! Now that both of the pop culture requirements of robots and kung fu have been filled, Remi should be getting calls to sell the movie rights any day now. (The robots were featured back in the Biafra for President saga, but only briefly, so they ...

Your account of the history and development of the race of "DJs" is both accurate and detailed; however, you have overlooked one subspecies of the DJ, which, although considered to be outside of the mainstream American culture, is nevertheless common in certain circles. There are three distinct bree...

Hey, if you ever need some inspiration for a music store from hell, consider the place that's about three blocks from where I live. All the worst specimans of country, arena rock, rap, and Christian packed into one small corner of a strip mall. They have an entire section devoted to anthologies of p...

Aargh. The Greer library has installed some new Internet filtering software, which is hassling me every time I try to go to a new Web page. It took three tries to get to my email account (with that super pornographic orgies online giant Yahoo) and I can't get to any of the links set up on the comic ...
