This is the same situation I am currently in as well.
Phew. I thought it was just me.
In my impatience I deleted the index.html file in the public folder and tried a manual update at siteadmin2. Didn't work. Now I get a 403 error. I should have just left things alone and waited.

Hm. FTP works for me. I can access the siteadmin page and get in queue for manual updates and stuff.. However auto-update and/or manual update hasn't updated my page in 48 hours like I thought it should (I have comics up until the end of Feb uploaded). It's still showing the old comic from January 2...

If and when Butch gets fully functional again, what's the url we'll be using to do our manual updating and stuff? http://siteadmin2.keenspace.com/cgi-b...

The inability to ftp an update to my front page has me wishing that Keenspace instead leave the 403 error on (or some generic "technical difficulties, please standby" msg). That way my visitors get some idea that the server has crashed. As it is the lack of a new comic all week suggests to some that...

does this include domain name problems?

I've been having trouble with my domain name (http://www.forbez.com) for some time now and assumed it was part of the whole "Nate has vanished" thing. The site forbez.com is supposed to link back to (http://cdc.keenspace.com) is fine. I emailed keenspace about it a while back and got a cut&paste rep...

Full update not working?

The html code the auto-updater was generating for my last two strips was screwed up so in an attempt to fix it I deleted the files in question from the public_html/d/ directory. Then I tried a Full Update.. hoping that new working code would be generated to replace the ones I deleted. THat was about...

Yup.. same here. But it may take a while for the maintenance staffers to fix the problem. So in the meanwhile I'm modifying the index.html and uploading it into public_html in order to make my scheduled updates. It's crude, I know..

I'm getting the exact same problem with my roledie.keenspace.com site.. auto and manual updating doesn't appear to work for the past couple days. I also get an error when trying to change my user info (I know I have the right password). Perhaps this is happening to new accounts (ones joining in the ...

People still post in this forum!!!!

About the compilation... it's a cool idea. I'd have done it myself except having 5+ meg files would put a burden on the Keenspace servers and their bandwidth.. plus there wouldnt be any room for Kspace to advertise ^___^

300k! Doing the math that comes to about a meg for one week worth of comics.. and with the number of readers CCS gets, that = serious loads on bandwidth I'm guessing.. @_@

Wonder if Keenspot/space puts a limit to the size any given strip can be... ?

thanks for the feedback, folks! Looks like most of you DON'T mind, so that's a load off my chest ^_^. I usually feel constrained when I have to limit some "strips" to 4 panels or so. One of my main concerns was that new readers would lose interest in browsing my archives because of long wait times i...
